Land Rover's patented Hill Descent Control (HDC) assists the driver with controlled descents of difficult slopes by maintaining a constant speed and applying braking separately to each wheel. The system works automatically to slow the vehicle and maintain the desired speed. Hill Start Assist (HSA) ensures you don't roll backwards as you pull away on an incline.
Capability is at the heart of every Land Rover and Terrain Response® is the embodiment of that attribute. It enables the driver to optimise the vehicle's engine, gearbox, centre differential and chassis systems to match the demands of the terrain. This is managed automatically on vehicles fitted with optional Terrain Response® 2.
Feel composed crossing a stream, a ford or negotiating floodwater. Wade Sensing measures the water depth using sensors on the underside of the door mirrors and provides real-time information in relation to the vehicle. This data and the maximum wading capability are relayed via the Touchscreen, providing you with the correct knowledge to drive appropriately.
Powered gesture tailgate allows you to open or close the tailgate from the kerb without physically needing to touch the vehicle or the key fob. Electronically operated, it has two sensors on either side of the vehicle. Simply move your foot up and down beneath either sensor to activate the feature. Life just got easier.
This feature lowers the vehicle by up to 50mm for easier entry and exit when parked. Only available with electronic air suspension, it ensures you arrive and leave any function in the most relaxed and hassle-free manner possible.
The soft door close option comes with power latchings on each door. As you shut the door, this allows the last 6mm of travel to be controlled so there's minimal noise. Effortlessly smooth, this feature makes getting in and out of the vehicle more refined.
